Welcome!

Welcome to the website of Little Wolford Parish Meeting.

The neighbouring parishes of Little Wolford and Great Wolford are situated in the district of Stratford-on-Avon and the county of Warwickshire. Although they are separate civil parishes, they are together coterminous with the ecclesiastical parish of Wolford in the diocese of Coventry.

Whilst Great Wolford elects a Parish Council, the first tier of local government in Little Wolford, with fewer than 100 residents, is its Parish Meeting - in effect a "Parish Council Lite", with only limited powers.

Prior to the financial year commencing 1st April 2013, Little Wolford Parish Meeting did not levy a parish precept; consequently, no financial transactions took place.

In the past, Little Wolford Parish Meeting had neither sought additional powers of a Parish Council nor raised a parish precept, and consequently had enjoyed only limited powers and no income to provide any facilities or services. However, a limited range of additional powers was sought from, and granted by, Stratford-on-Avon District Council during 2012/13, and a modest precept was introduced with effect from 1st April 2014; this is collected on behalf of the Parish Meeting, as a component of Council Tax, by Stratford-on-Avon District Council.
